MANAGEMENT DEER | |
Big Buck Outfitters, Inc. has been working on taking some management bucks, i.e. older bucks with less desirable antler characteristics. Every year some mature deer are targeted for harvest to improve the genetic quality of the herd while alleviating the stress on the habitat otherwise caused by superfluous deer. Duration of the management hunts are generally three days. It is a guide’s choice hunt with the guide offering the buck to the client for harvest, and the client having the option of either shooting or passing to look for another deer deemed by the guide to be a management deer.
